Stewards of Grace

I was listening to 1Peter today and I came across this Scripture: 1Pe 4:10 KJV As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. This again puts into light the Doctrine of Irresistible Grace. I've once posted on Life BS Group that there is no such thing as irresistible grace, citing: Eph 3:2 KJV If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: We know from Scripture, that the Lord does not force Himself to people. When people didn't want Him to enter their city, He peacefully went away. By dispensation it means, administration or stewardship. And Paul is saying that the dispensation of the grace of God was given to him for his ministry towards the Gentiles. And 1Pe 4:10 confirms that every believer is a steward of the manifold grace of God. And we are to minister the grace that we have received one to another. I believe this is a principle that God has

Faith of God

Below is taken from Life BS Group, a discussion group in Facebook: "Brothers and sisters in Christ, can you help me understand this verse: Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 'Faith of God' is also mentioned in Titus 1:1. In NIV version, it reads 'God's faithfulness.' Does this verse mean that even unbelievers are still saved?" "This was from Andrew Wommacks commentary: Paul was using the phrase 'the faith of God' in this verse interchangeably with the phrase 'the oracles of God' in Rom 3:2. He was saying that the unbelief of the Jews did not make the Word of God, or the promises of God, without effect. Therefore, the Word of God is the faith of God. No wonder faith comes by hearing God's Word: God's Word contains His faith. Paul was asking the question, "If some of the Jews did not believe God's Word, does that make God's Word of no effect?&quo

Death Reigned

There was a question: Is all the destruction in world the will of God? This is quite an interesting topic. And if you would remember what the LORD said to satan in: Job 2:6  And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. By this it appears that if a man dies, it means that God has permitted it. And I agree that death is a judgment of God. But look here: Rom 5:14  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. If you remember, the Bible says that death came into the world by the transgression of Adam. But why did death reign only up to Moses? Because death ceased to reign (at least in the house of Israel) when the Covenant of the Law was given to Moses. Because the law, through the sacrifices provided shelter for them against the consequences of sin. Remember the passover lamb. Remember the blood on the door posts of the

Priorities

Jas 1:9-11 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. It was really a wonderful message that Pastor German delivered during the Easter Sunday joint fellowship. He said, "God did not bring us here in Qatar just so He can bless us. The blessing of God is not dependent on location. He can bless us in the City and He can bless us in the Field. God has brought us here for a purpose." This message I believe has a special touch to them who, like me, got born again when they got here. A testimony that is most common here in the Middle East. And if one should reflect on that, it is easy to see that God has something in mind that is why He brought us here. That passage

Ask In Faith

Jas 1:5-8 (5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (6) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. (7) For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. (8) A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. God is a giver. That is His nature. God is willing to give more than we are wanting to have. Verse 5 in the NIV reads: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." God does not find fault. He will not examine whether there is something wrong with you. He will not count it against you even if you blew it. He just wants to give. Only that we ask in faith. Not doubting. Because if we ask full of faith, the excercise of that wisdom will also be full of faith. The excercise of that wisdo

Spiritual Time Warp

Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. It is of no value whether you are of the circumcision or of the uncircumcision. It does not matter whether you are a Jew or a Gentile. It does not matter whether you have the Law or have not the Law. It does not matter whether you have a codified rule book that you follow or whether you live by your conscience. What matters is the new creature. This is what matters to God, that men be born again. This however does not say that it doesn’t matter whether you live in righteousness or you live in sin. This should be clear. But whether you are of the circumscision or of the uncircumcision, whether you are a Jew or a Gentile, your own righteousness counts for nothing. What counts is the new creature. In Tit 3:5 it says, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.” So then, if our righteousness counts for nothing how much less will o
