My Hope In Christ

I believe in Christ. But before I came to believe in Christ, there were people who constantly ministered and witnessed to me that indeed Jesus Christ is real. During that time I had many questions. I had doubts. And it was a struggle in me of whether I will believe these people. Although I attended the Bible studies, my heart was not really in it and I was telling myself, anyway this is for God, and if these people are in error then let God have mercy upon me and rescue me from their hands, because I was staying in my brother’s Flat and I had no choice but to constantly attend the Bible study at his place and go with them to Church every Friday. Worship services here in the Middle East are held on Fridays as do the Muslims. And so that went on. But as for me, I continued with my personal reading of the Bible as I used to in the past. As time went on, things started to change. The songs they played in Church started to move me to tears. The lady Pastor went around during the Praise an...

Don't Exchange The Truth For A Lie

Don't exchange the truth for a lie. The Word of God is true, don't exchange it for whatever else. Anything that doesn't match up to the word of God is a lie. To exchange the word of God for something else is a grave sin. That was the grave error that Adam and Eve had committed. God said that if they eat the fruit of the tree, they will surely die. The devil said, they will not surely die. They decided to go for the devil's word instead of God's word. Therefore the history that we all know. God said to Joshua:  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.  When we hold on to the truth of the word of God, the natural result would be our success! And that is really the purpose of that book. To tell us what to do; to lead us in the way of life, of prosperit...

Jesus Is The Life

Jesus came to give us life, and that we may live it to the full (John 10:10) . It was God's design that we have life; to live and be in fellowship with Him. We are His sons. We were created in His likeness and we are to enjoy also God's kind of life. God's kind of life is a lifestyle that is rich in every way! Rich in love, rich in resources, rich in peace, rich in health, rich in all the good things! God wanted us to have a life in paradise! But the devil deceived us and we exchanged the truth of God for the lie of the Devil. And the wrath of God came upon all men and Man was cursed ever since Adam. But God would not let Man be destroyed and so He sent His own Son to bear the judgment that Man deserved. Through His death on the cross, the wrath of God was satisfied. And if we believe in Him, we are restored to Life (Joh 3:36) . The curse was lifted and we are now blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ (Eph 1:3) . We are now new creations in Christ (2Co 5:17) . ...

Imagine Acts 1:9-11

And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven." ESV (Act 1:9-11) The story is all too familiar to most people, and to them it remains to be just a story. But these things really took place. It’s not a recent event. But an event 1 hour ago is no different from an event 2 hours ago or even 2000 years ago. They all took place during the course of time. Imagine that these things took place just yesterday. And you were there. Jesus rose from the dead and then He ascended up in the clouds, and then there are these two guys who tell you, Jesus is coming back in the same manner that you saw Him go up. Get a hold of the reality of that event. ...

Explaining Hope 2

Is there hope of life after death? A common answer would be, “I don’t know.” A minority would strongly say, “No.” But there is a burgeoning generation that would confidently affirm, “Yes there is.” I belong to that generation. Science has been trying to prove/disprove it but is yet to come up with a final conclusion. And I believe science will never find the answer. But man already knows it. God has set eternity in man’s heart. That’s why the heart of man knows that we are not just temporary beings, we are eternal beings. It’s just that many are in denial. When a person dies, people would say, “He’s gone.” But the body is still there. So they affirm that we are not just physical bodies, we are not just flesh and blood. There is a spirit in man. And God himself has told that to man for He said, “the body counts for nothing it is the spirit that gives life.” And science will never be able to explain life because the life source is in the spiritual. And the spiritual realm is beyond th...

Explaining Hope 1

Starting with Leviticus 18: 19 “You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness while she is in her menstrual uncleanness.   20 And you shall not lie sexually with your neighbor's wife and so make yourself unclean with her.   21 You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God: I am the LORD.   22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.   23 And you shall not lie with any animal and so make yourself unclean with it, neither shall any woman give herself to an animal to lie with it: it is perversion.   24 “Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean,   25 and the land became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.   26 But you shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the native or the strange...

You were made for life

Life, as God designed it for you, is too valuable for you to miss. There is too much for you to be, to have, to enjoy, to do. To resign or to surrender hope is to sin, to deteriorate, to die. You are Made for Life! That is why this message is in front of you right now. God created you for greatness, for success, for health, for happiness and for fulfillment. Look beyond any facade or mask, and look deep within your heart where you yearn for God's lifestyle. It is there, deep within you. So welcome the voice of love that does not attack and condemn you , but that honestly gives you hope by reminding you that God is there, loving, caring. (TL Osborn)
