Explaining Hope 2

Is there hope of life after death? A common answer would be, “I don’t know.” A minority would strongly say, “No.” But there is a burgeoning generation that would confidently affirm, “Yes there is.” I belong to that generation. Science has been trying to prove/disprove it but is yet to come up with a final conclusion. And I believe science will never find the answer. But man already knows it. God has set eternity in man’s heart. That’s why the heart of man knows that we are not just temporary beings, we are eternal beings. It’s just that many are in denial. When a person dies, people would say, “He’s gone.” But the body is still there. So they affirm that we are not just physical bodies, we are not just flesh and blood. There is a spirit in man. And God himself has told that to man for He said, “the body counts for nothing it is the spirit that gives life.” And science will never be able to explain life because the life source is in the spiritual. And the spiritual realm is beyond th

Explaining Hope 1

Starting with Leviticus 18: 19 “You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness while she is in her menstrual uncleanness.   20 And you shall not lie sexually with your neighbor's wife and so make yourself unclean with her.   21 You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God: I am the LORD.   22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.   23 And you shall not lie with any animal and so make yourself unclean with it, neither shall any woman give herself to an animal to lie with it: it is perversion.   24 “Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean,   25 and the land became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.   26 But you shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you   27

The Great Chasm

There is a great chasm that divides the physical realm and the spiritual realm. God is spirit. So there must be some kind of a spiritual environment just as we have the physical environment. God says heaven is his throne, so heaven must really be awesome because that is where God dwells. We get a glimpse in the book of revelations because it says there that the streets there are paved with gold. But apparently, there is a great chasm that divides heaven and earth because it is impossible for us to cross to the other side. Not until we die. And surprisingly, the guys in the heavenlies can cross over. Angels can manifest themselves. Unclean spirits can manifest themselves. God can manifest himself. And what is more is that God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. So how do we get those blessings since our physical bodies seems to be incapable of crossing into the heavenly places? It just occurred to me... that all wonderful saying of the Lor

Truth comes by revelation

Truth comes by revelation. That is why we have this ecumenical movement going on with all the religions of the world thinking that Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus etc. can all join hands in the name of World Peace. Maybe they should invite the Church of Satan also because there is now such a church in existence. Who knows how much membership they now have? No amount of study can bring us to the truth. There is a passage in the Bible that says: "ever learning but never arriving at a knowledge of the truth.." That's referring to the religious scholars of that time. And we have them also in this present generation. The Apostle Paul is a classic example. He was a master of the Scriptures. Probably a double Phd on that one subject he would lay his life for. But he never had a clue that Jesus was the Christ until the Lord revealed himself. How could Paul have missed it? As the Lord himself said: "All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one kn

You were made for life

Life, as God designed it for you, is too valuable for you to miss. There is too much for you to be, to have, to enjoy, to do. To resign or to surrender hope is to sin, to deteriorate, to die. You are Made for Life! That is why this message is in front of you right now. God created you for greatness, for success, for health, for happiness and for fulfillment. Look beyond any facade or mask, and look deep within your heart where you yearn for God's lifestyle. It is there, deep within you. So welcome the voice of love that does not attack and condemn you , but that honestly gives you hope by reminding you that God is there, loving, caring. (TL Osborn)

A Word for Non-believers

Who are the unbelievers? Anyone who has not established a relationship with Jesus Christ falls in that category. Jesus said, If you are not with me, you are against me. But what is it that makes you a non-believer? It is basically a lack of faith. And the Apostle Paul says, how can they believe if they have not heard? And how can they hear if nobody preaches to them? Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Not just one time, but faith comes after hearing it a second time. And faith also is a gift of God. Jesus asked His disciples, Who do you say I am? Peter answered, You are the Christ, Son of the living God. Jesus said to Peter, Blessed are you Peter, flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but my Father who is in heaven. God himself has declared, If you seek me you will find me, if you seek me with all your heart. Some people will not come to God until they are convinced and their critical minds are satisfied. That is why they never come to God because it is n

Among the smooth stones of the valley is your portion

The righteous man perishes, and no one lays it to heart; devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from calamity; he enters into peace; they rest in their beds who walk in their uprightness. But you, draw near, sons of the sorceress, offspring of the adulterer and the loose woman. Whom are you mocking? Against whom do you open your mouth wide and stick out your tongue? Are you not children of transgression, the offspring of deceit, you who burn with lust among the oaks, under every green tree, who slaughter your children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks? Among the smooth stones of the valley is your portion; they, they, are your lot; to them you have poured out a drink offering, you have brought a grain offering. Shall I relent for these things? On a high and lofty mountain you have set your bed, and there you went up to offer sacrifice. Behind the door and the doorpost you have set up your memorial; for, deserting me, y

Blessed to be a blessing?

Did God bless us so that we can be a blessing to others? Just that? Did God bless us so that we can call our brother or sister and say, "Hey come, let's share and enjoy this blessing?" For most Christians, that's all their relationship with God is about, the blessings. We need to learn to take our eyes off from the blessings. We need to see far beyond it! The blessing that God gave us is meant for a purpose. And we should be able to see what that purpose is so that we can appropriate the blessing to that purpose. And that's the reason why people feel empty after that the blessing is ran out because it was misappropriated. As if nothing happened. Because indeed, material blessings are simply consumed. God calls us to offer up ourselves as living sacrifices; to continue His work. Christians ought to grasp the Apostle's Doctrine that to live is Christ and to die is gain. It is when we die that we gain. And while we still live we ought to work. It is no longer

Between God and the Politician

Often we hear during election time of Politicians platform of government and promised infrastructure projects should they be elected in office. But all those talk and speeches just go back to the filing cabinets once elections are through and kept hid until the next elections. So between God and the Politician is a great chasm, a great divide between truth and lies because Man's words are often empty, but the Word of God is never empty. Not because Man wants to lie but because he is not capable of keeping his every word. God on the other hand is able. God said: But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings, and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts (Mal 4:2-3). Those words are not empty. Surely they come to pass to them which receives them. And God has declared it that

A faith that would make you jump off a building

One Pastor said, don't throw away your common sense. I say, indeed it is a faculty that God has given to man and we should put it to good use. God has given us sound mind and so no Christian would jump off a building thinking that the angels of God would catch him. But born again Christians are branded as being crazy about Jesus and true enough we are. We have come to a relationship with God that our faith has become alien to the world. We believe it when the bible says with God, all things are possible. Does that include jumping off the building? Technically yes! Jesus walked on water and he ascended to heaven defying all the laws of gravity. Phillip was taken by the Spirit and was found in another city. Moses parted the red sea, Elijah called fire to fall from the sky. Kuya Vic suffered a car crash, lost his kidneys to alcohol and yet he is still alive only to find that the Lord had planned for him in the ministry. And just take a look at the ministry of Pastor Chris!   Unless
