1Co 4:20 For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power.
The Kingdom of God is not about talk, it is about power. And when we speak about power, it is something tangible. It is not imaginary. Talk is imaginary. But the Kingdom of God is about power. That is why the Apostle Paul says, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. This means that whatever we have learned from the Bible should translate to something practical, something tangible, something that we can do, something that we can put to action. And that's what power is, it is a driving force for action. Like the power of a car that comes from the gasoline that burns in its engine. That's where the car derives its power.
Christ is our power! He gives us strength to do all things. And so if it has been a long time already since we became Christians and we are still sickly, we are still in poverty, and we are still experiencing a lot of problems, and we are almost always depressed because of them, it means we haven't really made use of that power. We should not be content of a defeated life. God has not translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son for nothing? There must be tangible results for our being a Christian!
We'll, chances are, we don't really have enough of the word of God in us to derive power from. That is why we don't really live the victorious life that the Bible talks about. In the end, God is not glorified. And so I challenge you today to make that step of faith and start changing things in your life. By the power of His word, what ever problem you got out there, solve them in Jesus name! You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. God bless you!
