Let:
a = 1
b = 1
Then:
a = b
Square both sides, we get:
a^2 = b^2
Move them to the left, we get:
a^2 - b^2 = 0
Factoring (a^2 - b^2):
(a-b)(a+b) = 0
And dividing by (a-b):
(a-b)(a+b)/(a-b) = 0/(a-b)
Simplifying:
1(a+b) = 0
Or simply:
(a+b) = 0
Therefore:
1 + 1 = 0
Some people are like that with the Bible. Logical, but false. But you know it is false only if you know that 1 + 1 is not equal to zero.
II Timothy 3:13: But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
