Jesus Is The Life

Jesus came to give us life, and that we may live it to the full (John 10:10) . It was God's design that we have life; to live and be in fellowship with Him. We are His sons. We were created in His likeness and we are to enjoy also God's kind of life. God's kind of life is a lifestyle that is rich in every way! Rich in love, rich in resources, rich in peace, rich in health, rich in all the good things! God wanted us to have a life in paradise! But the devil deceived us and we exchanged the truth of God for the lie of the Devil. And the wrath of God came upon all men and Man was cursed ever since Adam. But God would not let Man be destroyed and so He sent His own Son to bear the judgment that Man deserved. Through His death on the cross, the wrath of God was satisfied. And if we believe in Him, we are restored to Life (Joh 3:36) . The curse was lifted and we are now blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ (Eph 1:3) . We are now new creations in Christ (2Co 5:17) .

Surrender

One doctrine that only a true believer can understand is about surrender. Surrender is such a powerful, wonderful, awesome experience! It is so awesome only a person who has experienced it can relate to another person sharing it. Surrender is saying, I am yours LORD. And yet it is more than that. It is saying, I am willing to follow, I give my all. And yet it is more than that. It is so awesome, so wonderful, so powerful, when a man's spirit communes with God's Spirit and confesses: "I am yours LORD, I am willing to follow, I give my all." Those are fairly simple words, but if it comes from within deep a man's heart, it brings such tremendous freedom that the inner man experience, and he is translated up into the next level of his relationship with the LORD; our King, our Father, our God. And it brings forth a new revelation that because he gives his all, he gains all in Christ!

Know the things that are freely given to us of God

"Exploring I Corinthians 2 Part 3" Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.  (1Co 2:12-16) If nobody told me about the Lord Jesus and what he's done for me, I would not know I had an inheritance in heaven. But even if somebody told me about it, I would not understand if I didn't have the Holy Ghost in me. And so a very important ministry that the Holy Spirit is

Exploring I Corinthians 2 Part 2

1Co 2:6-8   Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:  (7)   But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:  (8)   Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Wisdom as Man knows it is acquired through knowledge and experience. But there is a higher kind of wisdom which is the hidden wisdom of God. And this wisdom is ordained unto us so that by it we may glory! As Pastor Chris taught us, wisdom is not a faculty of the human brain. It is not a product of rational thinking. Wisdom is an attribute of the Spirit: why you buy the things that you buy, why you eat the food that you eat, why you go to places you go to… These are all materialization of man’s wisdom. In other parts of the Scripture it says: The entrance of thy words giveth light

Exploring I Corinthians 2 Part 1

1Co 2:1-2   And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.  (2)   For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. It’s a bit ironic here how Paul says he did not come with excellency of speech. Judging from his letters, he is an eloquent speaker. He has an excellent way with words. And we can expect that because he is a learned man. What Paul is saying here is that, he did not deliver the testimony of God with flowery, convincing words. He spoke the message as a faithful messenger of the Gospel, adding nothing, excluding nothing. And he delivered it as simple as Jesus Christ crucified. And if there was any convincing required of the listeners, it was done not with words but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power.   1Co 2:3-4   And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.  (4)   And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing wo

Comparing spiritual things with spiritual

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God

Pastor Chris Lectures

"Guard your heart with all diligence (Proverbs 43:23). Be careful what you listen to. When you stop listening to the voice of God, you start making the wrong decisions (Romans 8:14). Don’t expose yourself to just any kind of information. The information you allow in, will determine the state of your heart. Remember, your life will only reveal the information you have on the inside. Let your spirit always remain under the influence of the Word of God". "The Word of God is the answer to all of man’s challenges and life’s crises. It encompasses all the things that you will ever need in your life. It is the only prerequisite for a successful and victorious life. Pay attention to God’s Word, to do what it says and to enjoy all the benefits that have been made available to you in it". "Choose your words carefully; speak faith and not fear. Don’t say a thing just because that is how the situation seems or what everyone else is saying. Stand firm on God’s Word until

The Principle of Confession

Isa 33:24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick.. Joe 3:10 .. let the weak say, I am strong. Mat 21:21 .. if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue.. Rom 10:10 .. with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. The Word of God is given to us for a purpose. We ought to put them to good use. Be bold, be confident. Do not give a foothold to the devil. Fight the good fight of faith, confess His Words!

Imagine Acts 1:9-11

And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven." ESV (Act 1:9-11) The story is all too familiar to most people, and to them it remains to be just a story. But these things really took place. It’s not a recent event. But an event 1 hour ago is no different from an event 2 hours ago or even 2000 years ago. They all took place during the course of time. Imagine that these things took place just yesterday. And you were there. Jesus rose from the dead and then He ascended up in the clouds, and then there are these two guys who tell you, Jesus is coming back in the same manner that you saw Him go up. Get a hold of the reality of that event.
