God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth (Gen 6:12). God is not the one responsible for all the troubles in the world. Man is. He has corrupted his way upon the earth.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God (Gen 6:8-9).
The LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted (Gen 4:6-7)?" God has not changed and God does not change. He is the same to people today as He was with Cain. If you do well, will you not be accepted?
But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law (Rom 9:32-33).
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh (Heb 11:4).
And there was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: (Act 10:1-5)
