Saving The Primitives

You know why there are certain schools that are superior than others? It's because the curriculum there are superior and the teachers there are superior also. And concerning spiritual truth, the Lord said that the student cannot be greater than the teacher. And so it is always wise to find the best one in town and stay with him. : ) Anyway, this is actually a reply to a friend on the topic, the fallen state of man. Not that I have a Phd in this discipline but that I rely upon the Holy Ghost for revelation. So what do we mean by the fallen state of man? We say that he is spiritually dead. That I agree. But that man cannot perform any spiritual act because he is dead spiritually, because one must have spiritual life first before he can perform any spiritual act, on the logical basis that life precedes action, this I see is erroneous. So I state, it is not true that the natural, carnal, un-born again man cannot perform any spiritual act. But rather I believe that everything abou

Strengthening ROL

There are many doctrines that we do not know about, and some of them I am also just learning right now. But they are not really necessary and I believe that a Christian doesn't need to know all of them because most of these doctrines are actually devices by the enemy. But we must be fully grounded in the truth so that we may be able to test each of these doctrines when they come around. I am confident that we have the Holy Spirit in us and so we know the truth. What we know cannot be wrong because we know whom we learned them from. It may be that we know only a few things, but these few things always align themselves to the truth because we have received them from the Spirit himself. The teaching that “once saved always saved” really doesn't hold and the doctrine easily crumbles at the words of our Lord in the beginning chapters of the book of Revelations: Rev 2:5   Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto t

Foundational Principles of the Doctrine of Christ

Heb 6:1-3 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, (2) Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (3) And this will we do, if God permit. The phrase "leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ" does not mean to set aside, or to leave it and have nothing to do with it. No, the Scripture doesn't mean it that way. What it is saying is that we should move on forward from there. Indeed we would be making no progress if all we did was to repeatedly lay down the foundations and not build above it. But we must not neglect the foundations. Rather we must establish them firmly. And indeed we will not be able to move forward until we are fully established into them. As the Scripture in 2John points out: 2Jn 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doct

Who first trusted in Christ

Ephesians 1: 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, --- If you are bent on predestination and election, you would be quick to pick up the passage above. But mind you, the Apostle Paul's explanation about us being predestinated does not stop at verse 11 but continues through to the end of chapter 1. So who are them that are predestinated? Verses 12 and 13 could not be any clearer that it is them who first trusted in Christ. And indeed predestination unto the adoption as sons of God cannot be had without first trusting in Christ. If it was so, then Christ' death would have been in vain. And so a

The Academic Approach

Let: a = 1 b = 1 Then: a = b Square both sides, we get: a^2 = b^2 Move them to the left, we get: a^2 - b^2 = 0 Factoring (a^2 - b^2): (a-b)(a+b) = 0 And dividing by (a-b): (a-b)(a+b)/(a-b) = 0/(a-b) Simplifying: 1(a+b) = 0 Or simply: (a+b) = 0 Therefore: 1 + 1 = 0 Some people are like that with the Bible. Logical, but false. But you know it is false only if you know that 1 + 1 is not equal to zero. II Timothy 3:13: But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Buy From Me Gold

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich (Rev 3:18) . It often escapes our attention because this particular verse talks about spending for the Lord. The Lord says, Buy from me gold. But because of greed, people will just want to take the gold for free. The Lord said, to buy; meaning that there should be payment. Our service to God very much involves our finances. As David said, he will not offer to the Lord offerings that cost him nothing (2Sa 24:24) . We cannot come to God empty handed. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh  (Heb 11:4) . It should be clear to every Christian that finances are an integral part of our walk by faith. Money is a very important resource for the work of the ministry. Without money, the ministry would just not move. The Apostle Paul couldn’t have accomplished so much if

Who Are The Saved?

(Rev 7:4)   And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Are they the only ones saved? Not so… Rev 7:9-10   After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;  (10)   And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And yet there’s still more… Rev 7:13-15   And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?  (14)   And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  (15)   Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day a
