2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. A very simple yet so profound truth that we must not forget: we are new creations in Christ. We are not the person that we were before we came to know Christ. We are a new person, a new creature in Christ. This is very foundational and very, very important. Many Christians tend to dwell on the Cross. They stay there and never want to be removed from there because the Cross meant the forgiveness of sins. And that is true. But the very purpose of the Cross was not the forgiveness of sins, but rather, to condemn sin. A Christian is not a sinner saved by grace as some denominations teach. And that phrase, sinner saved by grace, is never really found in the Bible. A Christian is not a sinner.
